Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

This dragon hails from a long line of Dorkface dragons, a golden paragon among his line. Unfortunately for him, the other dragons don't see it that way. They found out his mother's name was Creme de la Creme and have called him Twinkie ever since.
