It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Avallendia is not a very social dragon; she tends to isolate herself from the rest of the dragons of her cave, and usually only enters the public eye during great celebrations. However, she has a good reason for this seclusion. Avallendia is gifted (or perhaps cursed) with the ability to see visions and auras around people, dragons and other intelligent beings. These visions are sometimes terrible, and extract a heavy toll upon Avallendia's mental and emotional health. She lives in seclusion so that she can avoid these visions, for she can only see them when the subject is within view. Because of this seclusion, she has become something of a minor legend in the area surrounding her cave, and she occasionally gets visitors seeking guidance from her and her visions. These visitors are usually disappointed, for she chases them fiercely away more often than not.
