Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lashing is a bundle of energy, at times practically overflowing with it. Sometimes it leads to fights in Nadat's cave, especially if he pokes some of the grumpier or more hotheaded dragons like Crimson or Ibiki, but he's just as fast at getting out of situations and several miles away. Lashing's creative enough to come up with ways to entertain himself until the anger has boiled over. Then he returns to bounce off the walls of the cave anew.
