Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rachel is one of the more complex of Dragon Writer's dragon friends, having spent too much time reading up on human girls. A brilliant strategist, she spends half her time talking about fighting, and half her time wondering whether she could procure some makeup that would complement her complexion, much to the muttering of Dragon Writer (and more specifically, his wallet, so often used to fund her new ideas.)<br/>No matter what her mood, however, she always has time to make plans for the Draconic Revolution, and has, in fact, been plotting battle strategies from the day she hatched, although there has yet to be anyone to use them on. She is currently engrossed in setting up mock battles for the other dragons.
