Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rosenbube loves flowers more than anything else. His greatest joy are flowers in all of their forms and he especially cares for roses, hence his name.

The highlight of his life came when one night he discovered a new form of rose blooming just behind his lair. He had no idea where the seeds came from, but a night-blooming rose, dark red—so much so that it almost looked black—his heart sang with joy at the sheer beauty. He has studied the flowers for a while now, noting their daily cycle. The beautiful flower seems to need an extreme amount of minerals since the grass around them withers from malnutrition. Rosenbube plans to pick one of the pretty things one of these nights to see if they will hold in water.
