Turpentine Dragons are named for the oil that covers their scales. This oil resembles turpentine in odor and is mildly toxic; it will not kill but it burns to the touch and will cause illness in anyone who ingests it. Turpentine Dragons roam in large packs, often stealing food from larger dragons, though they are able to hunt for themselves if necessary. Many other breeds consider Turpentine Dragons to be pests, so they primarily breed among themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Acidical often tries to interact with other dragons, only to be rejected because of the accidental burns he gives to his new friends. Most older dragons try to avoid him, although Azgeli (white dragon) and Bluevery (anagallis dragon) do enjoy his energetic nature and general friendliness.

Although genuinely nice to everyone, Acidical is quite talented at stealing food. Even the most alert dragons find themselves victims of his thievery, although few suspect him because of his apparent naivety. He often tries to share this stolen food with others, although it is almost always a hopeless endeavor.

Acidical realizes he is not popular, and, in an effort to stop new dragons from rejecting him, he has taken on the roles of provider and protector for new hatchlings. He fends off would be predators with his oil and catches or finds food for hatchlings who would otherwise starve.
