Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amuras Skyblade is a golden dragon with a glow brighter than the stars. He is a proud father of many and enjoys watching them at his cave that he decorates with old shed scales. Though he has only fathered one gold dragon like himself, named Cayto, he still loves all of his children. Amuras enjoys catching mice, rabbits, or a deer ot two in the forest he watches over. Dispite living in a cave most of the time, he has a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and helps out lost travelers. The only thing he fears are the greedy hunters that are after his gleaming scales. But this wise dragon knows how to hide and will fight if needed. He often lives with Dracyos Nublarr, a lonely alt black dragon, and Amuras is happy with this life.
