Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When the two male storm dragons can't seem to get along, Kham-sin steps in and puts them both in line. Whether by charming them with her sleek, lithe form, or by sending down a torrent to cool them off, she is usually successful in getting them to forget why they were fighting in the first place.

Her magic is extremely strong, but she uses it very rarely—only when Cleod and Stormroot are on the verge of doing real damage to the area does she unleash her own weather control. She is fully aware of the potential for catastrophe that she embodies, and her unusual intelligence (plus a warm heart that few of her landbound cousins ever get to see) keeps her from abusing it.
