Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

It was a warm summer day and the cave was becoming unbearable. The cool rocks in the back of the cave offered temporary relief from the heat, but soon those too felt as hot as the sun. Many of the adult dragons were beginning to bicker and fight.

Little Miracle, who was too young to even have a name yet, didn't understand their fighting and went crawling around in unpopulated parts of the cave trying to get away from them. She'd just settled down in a spot when suddenly the floor started to crack. She tried to run, but the floor quickly disappeared from beneath her feet.

SPLASH! Water broke her fall. It was a small and gentle mountain spring, as cool as a winter breeze. She swam around until she was nice and cool, and then she called to the others. Soon every dragon in the cave had taken a turn in the spring. Little Miracle's curiosity really saved that horrible hot summer. Unfortunately, her curiosity has lead her into nothing but trouble every since. Miracles can't happen every day.
