Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hirata is a proud dragon more than anything else. He understands that he's a Silver dragon, and because of that he is special. He believes the world revolves around him and his wishes, and he tends to clash with the more powerful and dominate personalities in his clan. He is in a constant rivalry with Raz, whom he simply cannot find any common ground with. He's also constantly clashing with the Golds and Tinsel dragons within the xRx clan because of the specialness of their breeds. He does have a sweet enough nature to take the rather plain Airi as his mate. He has little interest in his children, unless they are a Silver like he is, so Grell is his only offspring that catches his attention.
