Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arien, member of the Frostwing tribe, is a hard worker. She's a fierce hunter, but just as kind. Her mother dropped her off at the cave when she was still inside the comfort of her little egg. Ever since then she's been growing and getting stronger, as well as kinder. The other members of the tribe respect her for being a good hunter and for being a model of courage, bravery, and kindness.

Arien loves the little hatchlings that come to the scroll to play, and often joins them in their games. She often helps care for the newest ice eggs that come into the tribe. It is her job to protect the ice eggs from danger that another dragon might create.
