Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kiri is one of the many daughters of Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was raised alongside her younger sister Tsuta. In Japanese, her name means "Mist". Her parents named her "Kiri" because misty weather is her favorite, and that's how the weather was when she hatched, as well as the first weather she conjured up. Like the mist that she favors so much, Kiri is a very gentle, calm, and peaceful dragon (especially for a Storm Dragon). She has a beautiful silvery hide, accentuated by curving ebony spikes along her back and tail, curving ebony horns, luminous amber eyes, and long curved claws. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful when she sings, like an ancient voice coming across the moor. She is a family dragon, and loves being around any of her huge family, and often babysits the hatchlings. That's how she met her mate, Yuudansha. He was teaching one of her younger siblings martial arts, and Kiri fell in love the gentle and handsome dragon. They are deeply in love, and always will be.
