Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Afflicted with a curse that stopped him from growing, Tewa is one of the smallest Canopy Dragons but has the biggest dreams. He can glide and soar with the best of the Canopies, but dreams of being able to race along with the Skywings. However, his small size often finds him caught in the down drafts of the bigger dragons - and then stuck in the tree tops - but that doesn't stop him or crush his enthusiasm.
