Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Larger and stronger then many males of her kind, she is also very, very old. Mosses and lichens thrive on her withered hide, and her eyes are milky with cataracts. She no longer leaves her cave, snuggled back within the deepest section of forest, but survives on food others bring to her, in exchange for her most precious gift:

Wisdom.

She knows the ways of the plants and seasons; she can tell which root can cure an illness, which herb can kill a dragon. She can read the movements of the heavens and tell prophecies of what is to come. She alone knows where to mine the burning gems, those most precious of dragon artifacts. But she is weary of all the attentions of the outside world, and wants only to be left to sleep in peace...
