Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Sacheverell is a great sleeping statue by day, hard and unmoving as the granite he resembles. By night, though his stony facade proves false and reveals him for the living creature he is, he slumbers on. The other Yozi dragons keep him fed, watered, and heavily bespelled, for Sacheverell is a seer of the shape of things to come. He mutters at night, whispering the shape of his dreams, and they are bleak shadows of a broken future. He speaks the omens of a ruined world, and the fear of helplessness. The other dragons fear that if he should ever be allowed to wake, the terrible things he growls in the middle of the night will come true.

Some have whispered of a plot to stop Sacheverell's dreams permanently or change them to a better path, but so far, nobody has managed to steer him away from the disaster he dreams.
