Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gerandal lives in a city entirely of dragons. He resents Kwntkz and Aeneatikoi's leadership, and constantly saying he could do better. It is unknown if such is true, for he has never shared any of his ideas, even when prompted. He insists that Kwntks would not listen to his counsel and that all ideas she uses are her own, despite the known fact that she often takes counsel from Eve and Adam.

Gerandal has never been seen to do any work of his own, but never seems short on water nor meal either. On the rare occasions he has been motivated to go on patrol, he absconds from the situation at even the faintest hind of an indecent. He also thinks he deserves respect from all the other dragons, which makes him even more disliked by them.
