Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Powerful magi pyromancers aren't especially rare—Lady Incendia, Kyben Phoenixflame, and Zigal Phoenixmage come immediately to mind—but there are rumors of an elite group who makes even these look like amateurs: the dragons of Fireflood Weyr.  Located in the side of an active volcano and protected by numerous guards and spells, the weyr is only open to those with enough fire magic to overcome the challenges presented by the weyr's leaders.

Thariven is the first challenger—to pass her trial, dragons must follow her unhesitatingly as she glides across the lava at the volcano's heart.  Level-headed and practical, she is the weyr's Primary because of her ability to make calm, rational decisions even when under extreme pressure.  While Thariven isn't known for her warmth or empathy, this is hardly a drawback in a weyr where only the best are accepted.
