Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

White dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dolmarion is a great healer..one of the best around. He doesn't like when dragons fight one another but he is always there in the battle's aftermath ready to heal those who need healing and to console those who have lost a dear friend in battle.

Dolm, as he is called by his friends, not only uses his healing magic on fellow dragons, but on his human companion Vampyre and her human friends as well.

Dolm always thanks the dragon gods that Vampyre is his companion because she is a bit of a klutz and is always hurting herself. Also though raising of eggs and hatchlings tends to fall to the females of every dragon breed or to the humans who steal the eggs, Dolm finds great joy in helping his companion care for the eggs that she rescues from the pile of abandoned ones. He heals all the bumps and scrapes that the hatchlings pick up in the course of their frolics.

Though Dolm can be a bit gruff at times he is at heart a very gentle dragon with a love for all things living.
