Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to perch on the high branches of the taller trees and look longingly up at the sky.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Divi enjoys singing more than he can describe, how his voice lifts to join the fresh air, how uplifting and uniting singing in a group is, and how relaxed and at peace it makes him feel. Yet the fate's cruelty has cursed him with a voice that sounds more like the raspy croak of a dying bullfrog then the delicate warble of the nightingale. In youth Divi did not notice this, singing wherever and whenever he pleased, but as he grew older people cared less for the poor dragon's feelings, and informed him of his terrible affection. Horror-stricken, Divi burst into tears, vowing he never would sing again if his voice was that poisonous to others ears. His willpower was but to the test every time he heard anyone singing however, as he longed to raise his voice with them, yet every time he gave in to the temptation he would be the ridicule of those who surround him. Now, the only one he shares his voice with is the North Wind, as it blows his voice away from those who despise it.
