Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tovora was brought to the clan as an egg by Levathne, and the slightly older guardian has always watched over her carefully- while being lax about everything else. Tovora, in turn, is one of the most dedicated dragons in the clan when it comes to attending to her duties. She keeps an eagle eye on both eggs and hatchlings, fussing over the nest every waking hour. Though the youngsters are always fond of her, she can get a bit overbearing, and thus they also love to tease; they'll frequently hide under the napping Levathne's wings and giggle quietly as Tovora turns the cave upside down in frantic search of her missing charges.

Whenever Tovora starts having a bit too much to do, only Levathne is able to convince her to let go and relax a bit. The pseudo-sisters thus create a balanced worldview for their young charges: Tovora is a bit too dedicated, Levathne is a bit too lazy, and the youngsters learn a little bit from each. It's a system. It works. Sort of.
