Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Found as an egg, the keeper of the cave, Sukari, had never seen such a patterned egg before. Curious, she raised it to find an elevated holiday merriment had spread throughout the cave. Spirits rose, and since then, Lasting Memories was always referred to as the cave's 'Essence of the Holidays'. At first, his unique appearance had made him uncomfortable, but seeing the diverse dragons of the cave, as well as the occasional alternate or two, he found his sense of belonging. As a full-grown dragon, Lasting Memories has always watched at the other in flight, rustling his decoration-like wings shaped of holly. Though useless and unable to help him fly, he has been content mingling with the other dragons of the cave.
