Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. This young female dragon, like most of her species, loves leaves. Delicious, chewy green leaves. Her favorite by far grow in several small oval pairs along the stems of a particular type of tree. As a hatchling, she was often seen gazing wistfully up at the tasty salad just out of her reach. One day on an afternoon jaunt through the forest, she tripped on a root and went rolling clumsily down a hill. Her fall was broken by a sapling. As she lay on the ground, a bit dazed, she was shocked to see her very favorite leaves in the whole world drifting down gently around her. When her head cleared (and the leaves were devoured), a sudden realization hit her. She backed up and charged into the tree again....imagine her joy and sheer bliss when she realized that to get her favorite things in life, all she had to do was shake that ash!
