Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Light Fantastic has a very amiable nature, but that doesn't stop him from turning nasty when hunters come after his golden scales. Tired of constantly being pursued by those hunting his kind, he has taken to leaving some rather gruesome warnings in the surrounding villages and towns, such as the charred remains of the last man who attempt to slay him.

The locals don't bother Light and simply go about their business when arrives in town. No one really wants to offend a dragon when his rather large and touchy family live so nearby.  

Young children are always glad to see Light and engage him in conversation, begging him to tell them stories of his latest encounters and battles.
