Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lyeelia is a very playful Sunsong Dragon. She never really lost her hatchling-like energy, and loves to fly around in the air and play games with new hatchlings. She makes everyone on Dragon Isle feel at ease,  and even the more serious dragons have trouble finding her annoying. She is simply a very joyous and energetic dragon.

Lyeelia came to the island as a very sick egg. Nobody expected her to survive, and when she hatched, she was incredibly weak. However, under the watchful eye of Kelasia and the other hatchery staff, Lyeelia began to grow stronger and healthier. She was finally able to play with the other hatchlings, and she was one of the most rowdy of them.

Nowadays, Lyeelia can be seen twirling through the sky with new hatchlings and playing games. She sometimes helps out with nurturing newly hatched babies who are sick or diseased.
