Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Barbershop Quartet hatchlings are a fine group, always traveling together, singing all the while. Their harmony is always in tune, the words never jumbled, and each hatchling knows his part. Their most favorite song to date is "The Anti-Elf Anthem," and they will sing it to any audience, willing or unwilling.

The Bass has a short fuse. She's a time bomb, one might say, except no one can see the timer but her. This creates a number of problems for the quartet, especially on the rare occasions she's off-beat or slightly sharp. Normally disagreeable, she becomes a nightmare at gigs, sometimes refusing to show up until the last minute and insisting that her demands are met before she will perform. In the end, though, she's the best singer of the lot, so her friends put up with her ridiculous antics for the sake of the show. She wouldn't have it any other way.
