Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silvei of the Moon is Geldan of the Sun's counterpart and equal. They grew up as close as brothers in the cave belonging to the human named Ryoko. Silvei is a quiet and slightly cold dragon, showing his emotions only to those he deems worthy like his sworn brother, mother figure, and many of the dragons that live with him. He is said to be the guardian of a treasure as beautiful as the moon, but no one knows if this is true or how this rumor came to be. The treasure he guards was said to be the last artifact from his clan which was wiped out by war between them and another, leaving only a single egg. To this day he guards his keeper, his cave, his brother, and the treasure that may not exist.
