Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aqua Seastorm is racked with terrible nightmares every night caused by the horrible memory of her brother, Sapphire, killing a hatchling that had been wandering through the Storm Pack territory. Aqua isn't able to look at her own brother anymore, and tries to avoid him as much as she can. She feels betrayed by her brother, as if he has chosen this path over being a kind, loyal older brother to her. She is now building up a small rebellion force, and is plotting to take Sapphire down through a terrible, bloody battle. The alliance she has, however, does not know of this plan. She is yet to explain why they are training so brutally for a battle the rebels don't even know about.
