Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Sapphireth FrostBlaze (after the gemstone: Sapphire) is the 76th dragon of the clan cave, adding an element of strength and unabashed nobility unlike any known before. The Clan Mother received word from a neighboring clan of his existence, along with a note of thanks from his caretaker. The clan elders had serious questions regarding the message, for such a gift was no small token of gratitude! They quickly learned that during one of her treks, The Clan Mother happened upon a young man in the very early stages of establishing a new clan, who was struggling in his role as caregiver. She offered him some advice, answered a question or two, and gave him some words of wisdom to help with his undertaking. Believing this a sincere and noble offering, the clan elders pooled their magical abilities and safely transported the egg into the clan cave. Sapphireths personality mirrors his origins; he is thoughtful and caring, and voraciously protects both clans with all his powerful abilities.
