Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Callide Dracor turned out to be a shy, nervous young dragonness at her maturation due to being teased mercilessly about her ugliness as a hatchling. She then wound up as the secondary mate of Lucifer's Childe, and since he never showed appreciation for her timid attempts at singing, she stopped singing for anyone but herself. Eventually, after he and Erinast became firmly dedicated to each other, she found herself outcast, lonely and unloved. That all changed when the Actor's Guild was founded by Ebon Darkmyst, who recruited her immediately upon hearing her singing to herself in the forest. Her first role, the star of a classic draconic musical, met with wild critical success. Now her life is that of an actress, accessing her natural flair and talent on the stage, always playing a role. These days, the gossips insist upon claiming that she is the mistress of the sophisticated Gaspar Enigma. Whether or not this is so, however, is anyone's guess.
