Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Known as the Mountain Boy for his reclusive ways, Sessen Douji will categorically deny being Sessen Douji if he is confronted. A gentle soul and a scholar, he can often be found contemplating a flower, a stream, a stone, the stars—when his golden nose is not buried in a book instead.

It's unknown exactly what he does, alone in the mountains, but rumor has it that he is working on something—some theorem, perhaps, that will shake the world when he reveals it. Since he hasn't revealed anything yet, most dragons shake their heads and cough behind their wings at the mention of his name, or take a page from his own book and deny that he exists at all, or that they have seen him if he does.

Rumor has it that Saturn, the Maiden of Endings, has tampered somehow in his life. Perhaps that has something to do with the way rumors of his presence fall away, leaving him to blissful solitude the majority of the time.
