Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has many bud-like growths on its head and tail, and loves finding flowers to give you.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Floroneoneoneone claims that he met exactly one thousand one hundred and eleven different individuals before his growth slowed to a stop due to the hereditary Peter Pan Syndrome. He is unduly amused by this, and also how his good friend Airionetta only met one thousand, one hundred individuals before she, unaffected the PPS, grew to maturity. He seems capable of reading off how many individuals someone has met just by looking at them, and some have taken to showing slow-growing hatchlings to him so that he can confirm whether the number is still rising—a sign that they're still growing—or has stopped, indicating that the wyrmling in question's growth has been arrested, either by genetic or supernatural means. He insists these chance meetings, as well as repeat encounters and the occasional actual visit, are key to a wyrmling's development, but how, well, he took a Fundamental class at Seven Questions University and it made sense at the time, but he doesn't know how to explain it.
