Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Dawning Rapture is the nurse maid, so to speak, of the roost. Her rank soley amongst the dragons isn't noticeably high. However, she restricts Shrel from her working areas, and has openly threatened to shred his leg if he ventures near the youngest and most feeble babes under her care. He doesn't push his luck and stays well away, knowing that she means it, but that its not personal. Its just a dragon thing. Otherwise she is usually relaxed, but with an eye on the young. They can frolic pretty much as they wish under her supervision without intervention, but it is only an illusion of being lax, she really holds them to tight control that only rarely must be used. Her mate is the pink SeriouslySalmon, who cares for the newborns with her, despite having no young to call their own.
