Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Albion is the eldest and foremost of the venerable von Cherrybomb clan. He is a staid, serious gold, and leads with a sure and steady claw. He is not given to frivolities, so no one quite understood when he kept breaking off mid-sentence, listening for an eerie whistling roar in the sky above.

The roar was the call of West Wind over Wittenburg, a wind-loving gray dragon who seldom descended from her aerial dancing. Albion abandoned his duties, entranced by the glances he could catch of her wheeling through the clouds she summoned. Shocking the other von Cherrybombs, he asked her to be his mate; and shocking him, she accepted. Their honeymoon was brief, and despite bearing him three gold children, soon she was back in the air, ignoring his voice, listening only to the siren scream of the winds. His own heavy golden wings cannot bear him up after her, and though he carries out his duties as before, he has never been quite the same.
