Garland Dragons are a welcome sight in the skies during the holiday season. Their slightly luminous scales shine softly at night or catch the day’s sunbeams as they turn loops and spirals in the sky. They will often drape themselves around tall pine trees or along rooflines, adding a festive note to the winter scenery. Occasionally they drop red mana berries from their garland-like mane, which offer a comforting warmth to those that find them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shoa has been one of the scroll's guardians since her turning of age, and of all the dragons in the caves one has held her attention for a very long time. She has kept her scales as pure and clean as freshly fallen snow, and her garland preened to perfection just to catch his attention, but for many weeks it seemed he hadn't noticed. She was beginning to believe he wouldn't choose her, before he started asking her out on moonlight flights. Her love of dancing through the skies brought the two to dance through the midnight air together every Saturday night from then on. The two shared many fond memories over the year, until finally on December 20th, he finally asked her to be his mate. Overjoyed, she accepted and now Koashai and Shoa are raising their first egg. She finds Dykim's instinct to protect her egg very amusing.
