Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like all of her kind, Gauri is ageless, preserved in an undying body. However, unlike the other vampire dragons, her mind has not held up to the strain of the passage of time. Every day a little more slips away, sometimes in tandem with the new memories of the day, sometimes more, sometimes less. Unsure of what to make of her affliction, or herself, she remains within the ruined castle that is her home, not bothering to meet other dragons—what was the point... She would only forget them, sooner or later.

Oddly, Gauri's curse has also been a boon, as her traumatic past has been wiped away, leaving her an unusually genial vampire dragon. Unable to obsess over what has happened, she focuses on the present. If she were only willing to venture outside and to meet others, she might find some unexpected happiness.
