Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon may be one of the two oldest dragons in the clan but he is not leader. He is temporary until the rightful leader comes even if he leads the travel formations and head all clan meetings. His clan lives in the difficult live in terrains of the far north. Their territory is huge but contains just enough to feed his large clan and have enough left over to spawn. All his dragons has endured a lot in their lives and they have had to prove themselves over and over. Life is tough in the northern regions. His clan of several hundred dragons, almost a thousand, is so large that their system of semi-clans (or packs) is to have the first dragon of every breed be leader of all who comes after him or her unless otherwise. It makes feeding, protecting, visiting, reporting, hunting, etc. much more easier since there are many leaders of semi-clans to control their own group and worry about that group only instead of every single dragon, hatchling, egg that happened to be there as well.
