Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Sun's Shadow was once a sad, lonely dragon, cooped up in a small cage with little food and water. He was forced daily into fights, and if he didn't win, the cage would be smaller when he returned to it, and they would feed him less and less. He escaped a few days before he became an adult, taken by a new human who cared about him, and gave him the things he needed to survive. After that, he stuck with the human, who he soon knew as Angellight, and grew into an adult, her first adult dragon.

The Sun's Shadow has a bright disposition, and is very energetic. He loves to play with the younger dragons and make them feel better when they're down.  During scuffles between young ones, he reminds them that fighting isn't the best way to resolve something... and it can lead to worse consequences.

The Sun's Shadow is the oldest dragon in the scroll, and watches over the others.
