Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Once upon a time, shortly before the arrival of winter a young Harvest dragoness lost her two hatchlings in a storm.

The next morning the male hatchling awoke in a strange, unfamiliar setting, warmer than was to be expected and with a distinct lack of breeze. Opening his eyes, he was alarmed to find his legs swaddled in white wraps and covered with a foul-smelling ooze. He started to struggle, but a two-legged creature appeared and stroked his forehead with a soothing murmur, and he found himself relaxing.

After his pain had dulled the hatchling began to weakly explore the place he was in. To his surprise, the hatchling soon discovered none other than his sister lying in the sharp-smelling golden liquid pooling on the floor. He limped over and greeted her with joy. She was clearly happy to see him, but responded somewhat oddly. Yet that hardly mattered, they were together again.

Ever since that day Beatrice Barley and Hans Hops have lived happily as the Hops and Barley brewery mascots.
