Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A simple-minded creature, this dragon used to be most content, spending his days admiring his shiny silver scales--until someone made a joke about how he had to take care that they didn't start to rust. Paranoid ever since, the poor male now spends his days endlessly preening and oiling his scales, and no amount of insisting by his friends that they won't rust will turn him off the idea.
