As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Midnight Wings is not his actual name—that's just what the rest of the clan calls him. When Midnight was a small drake, he chose his own name. Unfortunately most of the rest of the clan could not pronounce the name he had chosen so they just started calling him Midnight Wings. Midnight doesn't mind, and he's too reserved to really correct anyone in the clan. So he simply accepts the name that the others have given him. At night Midnight can often be found quietly flying around the clan territory.
