Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Jumpy and paranoid, I Feel Like a Piece of Cheese only trusts one other dragon, one who goes by the name of Flying Over a Meadow of Cows.  Although he has no real gender, he and Flying have quietly decided that he is male, while Flying would prefer to be known as female.  I Feel Like a Piece of Cheese is rarely seen out of the company of Flying Over a Meadow of Cows, as he is absolutely terrified of the so-called imaginary monster, "The Great Saltine Cracker", which he insists is a real, sentient being who enjoys grabbing innocent chunks of cheese and rubbing them along its back, torturing them by slowly grinding bits of them off along its salty scales until there is only smeared cheese and no dragon left.  Although this is met with skepticism by the other dragons, I Feel Like a Piece of Cheese knows the importance of having someone around to watch his back, for he fears that the time of The Great Saltine Cracker's return is imminent, coming nearer with each and every passing second.
