Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Qualia is known among the hatchlings of her group as a peacemaker. She takes great pride in her ability to mediate conflicts between the hatchlings of the Cave and will often volunteer her services even when they aren't strictly necessary. While Qualia is pleased with her skills, the other hatchlings find Qualia to be pretentious and full of herself. They don't see Qualia as a peacemaker so much as a stickler for the rules who is quick to get the adults involved when disputes are not settled in an orderly fashion.
