Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cumulous is a carefree dragon. He's rarely ever in a bad mood and loves to shape the clouds as if sculpting artwork. One day he saw a girl traveling with a canopy dragon with a bandaged wing. Seeing as the other dragon was in no danger he flew down to see what a human was doing hanging out with a dragon. Brontio explained that he was taking the girl to see his new home.

Cumulous did not have a cave to call his own after having just left the nest a few months back, so he asked if he was allowed to come with them. Brontio accepted and the girl (who introduced herself as Syiren) got onto the Daydream's back and they flew the rest of the way to the cove.

It took some convincing, but eventually Syiren proved herself to be trustworthy. She told the dragons that it was her dream to study dragons and so they allowed her to live with them. She keeps a scroll with sketches and writings of each dragon that lives within the clan and has also trusted Argon with help keeping it safe.
