Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonlily is a Royal blue dragon, she is peaceful and keeps to herself or other nocturnal base dragons. Moonlily is called the "Star Reader" by all that see her, mainly the hatchlings started it then the adults took it up. Moonlily never seems to notice. The female can read the stars in pools, ponds, rivers, and even the sea and she always has a look of deep wisdom and distance. When the hatchlings spied on her they were awed when she looked up with what looked like the moon reflecting her eyes. Moonlily never speaks of what she has seen.
