Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Scientific Deduction is a logical and slightly snobby Nocturne Dragon. He looks down on others who do not know what they are talking about, sniffing and rolling his eyes at what he thinks are their dumbly based hypotheses. He has an odd habit of touching and tapping his curled horns when he is explaining something to simple minded creatures, looking funnily enough like the rich humans who wear round bits of glass on their faces.

The male Nocturne is in love with Traveling Zone of Awe. While she is a total opposite of him, believing in things that do not have facts and incorrectly giving advice out, Scientific Deduction continues to be her mate. They do have scuffles and arguments every once in awhile, but neither of them ever say anything that could deeply harm the other, allowing the fights to be quick and unmemorable.

Scientific Deduction does not ever ask his mate to change the way she thinks. The way she is now is the very reason that the Nocturne is in love with her.
