Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Tierhesant lives inside of a gigantic tower near the outskirts of a swamp. While the tower is owned by a vain Hellfire Wyvern by the name of Kerrexine, she is allowed to remain in its confines safely by agreeing to the Wyvern's demands. Tierhesant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all of the traps and devices with the tower, as well as providing security for Kerrexine's hoard. She is also responsible for keeping the tales of the tower's "perfect maiden" circling constantly about the surrounding areas and beyond. For helping, her friends in the swamp and herself are granted safety in Kerrexine's area (but not protection), as well as a small portion of the many kills the Hellfire catches.

Despite her "mistress's" temperament, Tierhesant and her other friends can be somewhat approachable and slightly fun to be around. However, that is only if a sufficient bribe and much good will has been given to them. Their circle is tight, and so too is the noose of her mistress...
