Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Named after the Greek sun god, Apollo adores celestial bodies, staring at the sky for hours at a time, causing the others to nickname him the Royal Nebula. As he grew older, Apollo would track the constellations and stars on scraps of paper he would beg from the elders, and created his very own sun dial, which he would watch any spare moment he had. Only feeling at home sleeping under the stars, Apollo hated the dark, stone ceilings of the cave, feeling at any moment they would crash into him, often dragging his mossy nest outside. Clouds and rain would depress him, as they prevented him from going outside, and clouded the heavens. One day, Apollo decided he had had enough, leaving the cave to travel somewhere warm and sunny, so he could watch the sky to his hearts content. Reaching the desert, he spent days on end watching the worlds up above, before finding a glory egg. Wanting what was best for it, he returned to the cave with it, and eventually became her mate.
