Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As an egg, Idari was abducted by Trompeur and passed off as an abandoned egg in order to fool Filari's entire cave. She was considered one of the Etna clan since the aforementioned clan had taken her in as one of their own. Eventually her true clan, the Sonens, found out about their missing child and attempted to kill anyone with even the barest minimum of an association with Filari. The conflict was brutal and short, ending with the slaughter of the entire Sonen clan. Idari ditched the Sonen at the end of her name and began hating every single thing about Filari's dragons. As a result, it wasn't easy to help her since she aggressively fought any help from the group that killed her family. As of now, Idari has been getting better, but still has an intense distrust for all things Filari along with quite a lot of trauma. It is doubtful she will fully recover from her experience.
