Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Izenfier, a large Black Alt dragon, is a born warrior. He usually help train the young dragons of his clan in the art of fighting, just in case they would ever need to defend themselves. He rarely gets any time to play with hatchlings although he has several grown children of his own. He works very closely with the other Alt dragons. They are all like second in commands in the Black dragon part of the clan. They all wake at night and usually sleeps during the day. Izenfier was the first Black Alt in his clan. As the first to look rather different from the other dragons, he is usually treated better. He hates that because it would appear unfair to the other dragons. Instead, he insists that he is just a normal dragon like any other and that they should not treat him better. He also loves to fly by himself or with the rest of the group.
