Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tarnished Brilliance's arrogance, ignorance, attitude and vanity are almost beyond belief.  She refuses to go anywhere near any hatchlings that aren't her own, as she considers them 'common and far too beneath her to be worth anything', as she regularly states.  Her only allies in the home cave are her Dorsal mate, A Tad Flashy, and her closest friend, the Bright Pink dragon Dolores Umbridge; she is only begrudgingly guarded and cared for by her siblings because of her obvious rarity, a point which Brilliance flaunts shamelessly and far too often.  Thankfully Brilliant Ray of Sunlight, her Golden son, didn't inherit her less favourable traits -- because he had paired off with a kind female and spends his time trying to help the Magis in their studies, Brilliance has effectively disowned her eldest Golden child and belittles him endlessly and cruelly every time they cross paths.
